It happens to all of us. It's December 31st. We make New Year's Eve resolutions: glorious words which promise a change in our lives. Sometimes these resolutions fall by the wayside, and sometimes they don't. Either way, making resolutions has certainly become a tradition.

"On New Year's Eve" addresses this subject on a kid level: mowing the lawn, doing the dishes, being polite. It goes from silly to serious as singers proclaim their resolutions, with a positive focus in the last chorus.

The melody is unison and repetitious, so it will be easy for your students to master. Happy New Year! (from Music K-8, Vol. 8, No. 2)
