My room seems to always get mobbed on Open House nights, and I wanted to take advantage of the families' enthusiasm at the beginning of the year! I put this signup sheet out on a student desk or table with a big banner saying VOLUNTEERS SIGN UP HERE! It's so nice to have parents help me with tasks the way they help the classroom teachers!
