Orange And Yellow And Red

One of the things that makes autumn such a beautiful time of year is the color that surrounds us - notably, colors like orange, yellow, red, gold, purple, and brown. We thought it would be a lovely idea to have a song that not only talks about these colors, but gives students a chance to explore them more fully with movement involving colorful scarves. You could substitute ribbons, streamers, or any flowing fabric or material that you can find with the pertinent hues.
The song is in 3/4, with a gentle, flowing style that makes it a natural for the movement, though that is certainly optional. Just the tune itself is quite pleasant to sing and listen to.
If you do use the scarves, we have included some movement ideas. They are not too difficult and can be used as is, or altered for more simplicity or complexity as you wish.
