I'm left-handed and I always say to my beginning recorder players, "Left-handed people, this is your lucky day! We begin with the left hand. Right-handed people, this is the time that all of the left-handed people get to say to you 'ha,ha!' So, NO WHINING! My answer to all of you who want your right hand on top is 'Tough!'" All said, of course, with humor. And sure enough, whenever someone begins to complain, the rest of the kids all respond with "Tough!"
