I did this program four years ago with kindergarten and first graders. It was lots of fun and is typical of Teresa Jennings' musicals, had a nice variety of types and tempi of music, easy to put together.

I had a "house" made out of cardboard, kind of center stage. It was not too big, but kids could go inside it (that age kid, anyways). The roof had all sorts of oversized cardboard candy with velcro on the back to be able to remove it. I dressed the kids in a variety of forest animal costumes (mice, fox, etc.). Turned out cute.

There are lots of ideas in previous Music K-8 publications about this musical. If you have back issues (who could live without them...), check it out - there were several over the years since the musical was published.
