  1. What about a healthy dinner held at school and have the children sing or put on a play? Ask for donations, have an all-you-can-eat dinner. Our church youth group has done this for several years.
  2. Or another would be to have a pop can drive if your state does returnable bottles & cans. Just have a place where people can bring the bottles for your group and you would take them back to the store. Some stores here have a bottle deposit receipt box for each school that people want to donate their bottle refunds to. Our kids have made around $200 in the past 3 months, and we live in a very rural area!
  3. Our school PTO (same as PTA) has a popcorn machine and sells popcorn on every Friday for 25 cents a bag at lunch time. (Better than doughnuts!:-))
  4. What about doing "Labels for Education" Campbell's Soup or the box-tops with points on them?
  5. Have the kids write recipes, divide it by classrooms, compile them into a book, and sell the book. Parents & relatives would buy it just for posterity!
