This is my 38th year and I’m loving teaching more than I ever have. I plan to teach 3 more years. I’m 61. I learn a new instrument every year and share it with my students. This year is the Lap Dulcimer. We sing FUN songs. My 1st and 2nd grade programs this year are entitled, “My Favorite Things.” It’s all happy songs. I don’t feel the need to prove anything to anyone any longer, including myself. I truly love music, love my students, am thankful for where I teach and I enjoy each day. We all need joy.
