It is sad to hear. I do fear this may be a trend all over. For now my
district is not cutting any of the Arts programs, but our middle school and
high school programs are losing students. Many have quit this year because
they didn't like doing band and choir online. It's unclear if they will
come back when we finally get to be fully in person. I am crossing my
fingers that we won't have all the Covid restrictions next year so we can
go back to teaching music the way it's supposed to be taught.
