My ‘marker boards’ were hung high enough that my Reno World Music Drums and ‘skinnier’ of our barred instruments fit under the “marker trays”(yes, they stuck out some, but every little bit of space I could get I could use . I only needed to leave however much space I needed for kids to reach the board. I also had some round spots from a p.e. catalog. It was easier to separate kids -and give you some ‘social distancing.’
Good luck.
