I don't have any experience with compact compact xylophones -- sorry. But I found these beautiful little bell sets that are excellent for third grade and younger. These are easy to carry, easy to open, and the bells are fixed inside the case, so they won't fall out.
It's made my job much easier, so that I don't have to get all the xylos, metallos, etc. out and put them away all the time.

Subject: [MK8] compact xylophones
Can anyone tell me if these sound comparable to the full sized? Is it
better to get these because of the storage or not worth it? I use Peripole.
I have an alto and a soprano xylo and 2 alto glocks. I have those blue case
(irritating) soprano glocks, also. I would like to get an alto metalophone.
I have $1600. Any suggestions appreciated!
