I'm going through this right now. I've just had ZERO motivation since Christmas -- and this has never happened to me before in my 18 years of teaching.
Right now, my after-school things (UIL, choir, and piano lessons) are getting me down. I have the "don't-want-to" attitude. So what I'm going to do is change some things up and see if it helps. I'm going to shorten my choir practice and UIL practice, and probably take the piano lessons down to two days per week instead of three.
Will it help? Maybe. My self-care time has shortened considerably, and that's also going to change -- more time for ME, and less for OTHER PEOPLE'S CHILDREN. I love my job -- love my co-workers -- love the kids -- and have great administration, but I have to change for ME.
Not much advice there, but at least you know you're not alone!

Sorry this is long...
So, have any of you experienced a 10 year slump?
Things were going great up until about a year ago, or least I thought so. We got great new admin 2 years ago that supports everyone more than the last admin did. But I just feel... well, actually I’m not sure what I feel...
I’m just not excited about teaching music as I have been in the past. And I hate that too.
Any one else experienced this?
