Another idea that I got from Artie Almeida that my students enjoyed last
year:
Use stuffed emojis (smiley face, poopy face, and wide-eyed face) for a
"Critics’ Corner.”
Copied/pasted from Artie:
When we want to critique ourselves on a song or instrument piece, I put 3
kiddos in chairs, each with one of the emojis. The Smiley Face says
something we did well. The Bug Eye guy points out something that needs
improvement. And if it was a train wreck, Poopyface stands up and we sing
the PoopyDoopy song.
Well, there are a few versions of the PoopyDoopy song. The most successful
one has been to the tune of the Hallelujah Chorus (I enjoy irony!🤣):
“Poopy doopy! Poopy doopy! Poopy doopy, poopy doopy, let’s try it again.”
Accompanied by pitiful facial expressions. You can also change the last
line to “What can we improve???”
