Curiously interesting for me is happening upon a one piece Harmony recorderthat a sub teacher ordered for a class I took over two years ago. Therecorder costs $1.95. I was absolutely positive this was going to be a badsounding toy. But what was really curious to me was that they didn't soundlike a toy. By golly they sounded like the ones I have always used which Isold for $5. What was even more curious was that I could play those lownotes, C and D with ease. With my five dollar one I always had to work hardat playing the low D and C. So folks, when my now second year students allplayed low C and Ds and one student played ever so sweetly on this $1.95recorder, I decided I'll just make the major switch and will always bebuying them. For Christmas presents the classroom teachers gave them totheir students as gifts. They do not go home so the students have boughttheir own for home. I teach in high poverty areas so I feel good aboutselling them these recorders. Kids it's 8 quarters or two dollar bags offlame chips they buy. This recorder, the Harmony one piece is an exclusiveof West Music.Ellie in IrvineOn Wed, Apr 23, 2014 at 8:30 PM, Mindy Krejci wrote:> I love my Angel Halo recorders from Peripole.
