I think I may take myRK classes outside tomorrow as long as it doesn't r=
ain... We'll warmup on a song or 2 together and spend half the class out=
side. We have several spots right next to ourmusic room (which is clo=
se to an outside door)that would be perfect for them to spread out to pr=
actice and let me keep my sanity and eardrums awhile longer!

I think, there was a Recorder Classro=
om article that had a lesson plan of sorts that had 8 outside stations that=
kids were to go to and work on at 5 minute intervals. Now that my kids =
are introduced to recorders the way I want, I think I might do this next ye=
ar a few times. Though I'm not sure about having kids at different abili=
ties...maybe each station could have an easy, medium and hard activity? =
Maybe guess the song title? Hmmm... Ideas?

doing the 1st belt test, and I need to hear if they are "du"ing and not

who"ing. I can't hear the tonguing when others in the room are playing. One=
class handled this well, respecting their classmates quietly while teste=

were lined up on deck, but for other classes this has been difficult. =
They
are too antsy, too noisy. And so many students want to test ;) but s=
ome need
LOTS of help from me. They really need a private lesson to get i=
t. I want to
make sure they can tongue, or no white belt.

how it'd be tempting to fill up time before/after school, during
recess w=
ith belt testing - the kids want to - but my time/compensation/high
deman=
d situation doesn't work for this approach at this time.
