Banana Smoothie

Your recorder students will feel like they're part of a laid-back jazz ensemble when they play along with this recorder feature. The easy Latin groove is pleasant and understated, leaving lots of room upfront for your players, but keeping things interesting with a soli flute and flugelhorn countermelody.

We have included two parts for recorders to give you options. The first one includes the notes D, E, G, A, and B and can be used with more advanced students. For the beginners who want to get in on the action, part 2 uses the notes G, A, and B. The full version you hear on the recording is using part 1 only. You can use one or the other, or both, as you prefer.

To follow along with the reduced piano/recorder score, you can download it at our web site. (See page 75 for details.)
