Question: Because of the very diverse population of the school, at Halloween time they refer to the season as The Harvest... They shy away from songs about skeletons, ghosts, graveyards, etc., preferring instead to do pumpkin and fall songs.

Answer: Ask if you can still do some of the "darker" program music like "In The Hall Of The Mountain King," "Night On Bald Mountain," "Danse Macabre," etc. if it doesn't mention Halloween. My Jehovah's Witness kids have never had a problem with these. Or how about a song like "The Addams Family"? Are these all forbidden? Let's face it - October is the best for "minor" music.
