For Music In Our Schools Month, I usually try to create a bulletin board where all the students can share their favorite things about music. This year, I had all the students trace around their hand, cut it out, and write a sentence about their favorite thing about music. The theme this year was, "Music Lasts a Lifetime." When March was over, I changed the caption to "Let's Give a Hand for Music," which made it more versatile. All the students, teachers, and parents loved scouring over the wall to see where their hand ended up, and what everyone thought was the coolest thing about music!
