This is how some of our 4th grade students remembered measurement. (To the tune of "Yankee Doodle")

An empty gallon went to town
and filled himself with 4 quarts,
poured himself into 8 pints and
fell upon the floor.

They went into 16 cups
then turned into milliliters,
tablespoons and teaspoons,
and don't forget about liters.
