December Gifts offers a fresh way for your young singers to celebrate. You may wish to perform these five songs individually, or put them together as a mini-musical or as a program. Included in this Teacher's Handbook are two different reproducible scripts:

1. Dialog for a "mini-musical" (pages 28-32)

  • Requires a minimum amount of staging and a few props.
  • Features 10 speakers before each musical selection.
  • Director may use the same 10 speakers, or use a different group for each scene (total 40 speakers).
  • Performance Time: Approximately 20 minutes.

2. Rhyming Narrative Verse for a "program" (pages 33-34)

  • A shorter presentation.
  • The rhyming verse can be easily memorized or read.
  • No acting, scenery, or props are required.
  • Performance Time: Approximately 15 minutes.
