I came up with choreography for "Down At The Beach" from Music K-8, Vol. 14, No. 5 using "oldies" dance moves. As I was born in the mid-1970s, I am guessing at the names of some of these moves.

Dance, dance, dance at the beach.
Hitch-hike to the side, jabbing twice on each side
Down down down at the beach.
Sinking ship - one hand to nose, other slightly raised, squat down, shaking raised hand
Dance, dance, dance at the beach.
Same as above
Down down down at the beach.
Sinking ship move
Down at the beach.
Repeat the thumb move
Swim, swim, swim at the beach.
Move your arms like you're doing the crawl stroke
Squeeze out the sand from your toe, toe, toes.
Flick your open hands, palms down on "toe, toe, toes"
Brush off the sand from your no, no, nose.
Pretend like you're brushing sand off of your nose, alternating hands, on "no, no, nose"
Open your arms to the sun, sun, sun.
Open your arms upward in a "V" shape over your head on "sun, sun, sun" - leave them up for the next part
We're gonna have lots of fun, fun, fun!
On "fun, fun, fun" alternately pump your arms in the air above your head
The Hand Jive - 3x (My first graders were able to learn it with about five minutes of instruction.)
Play - sign the word "play," similar to "hang loose" but with both hands
For the last two "Down, down, down, down, down/Down at the beach" do the sinking ship move on the fifth "Down," the swim move on the first "Down," and the thumb move from the beginning of the second "Down." Stand straight and tall for the last "Down at the beach."

My kids loved this!
