I'm doing Elfis and The Sleigh Riders this year with my 3rd & 4th graders. In addition, I'm adding "A Song Of Peace" (from Music K-8, Vol. 12, No. 2, also available as a Singles Reproducible Kit) to the end. I'm needing a segue from the silly and fun, to the endearing and meaningful.

Does anyone have an idea for something I could print in the program handout - I need an appropriate phrase referring to the times we are in.

I also need a few speaking lines for students to say as we go into the song.

This is a start, but I'm not so sure:

"Thank you for coming and sharing in our fun.

We'll sing one more song before we are done.

We sang about friendship and staying out of fights

"A Song of Peace" is the last song tonight."

I would like to add something to this with an element of unity, perseverance, strength, inspiration..hmmm....anyone?

Maybe you can use this or parts of it:

Peace, strength, and unity is what we all need

Working together we are bound to succeed

When everything turns into a spin

Do what you can to help the world win win win!
