By the way, the kids in my class have more experience going to pools at swim and health clubs, so we made our last line "All through the club." My personal experience has been pools in parks, so if I had done this in my hometown it probably would have been "All through the park." The actions we used are in italics.

The water in the pool goes splash, splash, splash,
splash, splash, splash, splash, splash splash.
The water in the pool goes splash, splash, splash;
all through the club.
(Splash water with hands.)
The kids in the pool go jump, jump, jump,
jump, jump, jump, jump, jump, jump.
The kids in the pool go jump, jump, jump;
all through the club.
(Diving actions with hands)
The parents in the pool go swim, swim, swim,
swim, swim, swim, swim, swim, swim.
The parents in the pool go swim, swim, swim;
all through the club.
(Move arms in crawl stroke.)
The babies in the pool go waa, waa, waa,
waa, waa, waa, waa, waa, waa.
The babies in the pool go waa, waa, waa;
all through the club.
(Rub eyes in a crying motion.)
The lifeguard in the pool says, "Cut that out!,"
"Cut that out!," "Cut that out!"
The lifeguard in the pool says, "Cut that out!;"
all through the club.
(Wag finger in a 'no, no' fashion.)
The balls in the pool go round and round,
round and round, round and round.
The balls in the pool go round and round;
all through the club.
(Spin finger around in a circle.)
The board in the pool goes bump, bump, bump,
bump, bump, bump, bump, bump, bump.
The board in the pool goes bump, bump, bump;
all through the club.
(One hand bounces on the other with arms out straight like a diving board.)
The teens in the pool go chomp, chomp, chomp,
chomp, chomp, chomp, chomp, chomp, chomp.
The teens in the pool go chomp, chomp, chomp;
all through the club.
(Hold hands like you are eating a sandwich. NOTE: The second graders had noticed that older kids at the pool were usually socializing and eating instead of swimming.)
The team in the pool goes fast, fast, fast,
fast, fast, fast, fast, fast, fast.
The team in the pool goes fast, fast, fast;
all through the club.
(Run in place and pump arms.)
The water in the pool goes splash, splash, splash,
splash, splash, splash, splash, splash splash.
The water in the pool goes splash, splash, splash;
all through the club.
(Splashing water with hands.)

The kids had a lot of fun doing this. When I first I told them we would be rewriting the words, they didn't think they could do it. To begin, we brainstormed what we could write about. Some ideas were rejected because we couldn't even come up with enough verses for this short version. The class came up with a lot of ideas that we narrowed down to three by voting. Then we came up with at least three verses for each idea, voted on the verses we liked the best, and came up with the rest of the verses and the actions to go with each. The whole lesson took two 30 minutes class periods including about 10 minutes of practice time before we performed.

By the time we were done, this had become the class' favorite song and they were eager to perform it, so we invited their teacher to come and hear it.
