When teaching my 1-3 graders new songs, I use a chart with the lyrics written on the chart. To help the students stay on the correct verse, I color code each verse with the chorus being the same color each time. I also use colors descriptive of the season; red and green for Christmas, pastel colors for spring... This helps me quickly find the type of songs I want to use the next year.
