I recently put on a program with my 4th graders using the song The Lights Of Freedom (from Music K-8, Vol. 13, No. 3). I thought you might like to see some pictures of how we put it on. (Photo links below.) We used the beginning with soloists, and at the march introduction, the children marched in behind our webelo boy scouts and girls scouts, carrying the state flag and the United States flag. The lights were dimmed, and spotlights and flashlights were turned on. Very impressive.

After we sang that song, and several others, the children read facts about their states that they had written on the backs of their name cards. It really worked out well.
