For handing out props during a concert, how about "choreographing" that. Have the people on the ends pick up one and pass it down. Keep doing that until every one has the needed prop. If necessary, one dependable student could step down off the riser to hand the items up. Students keep passing items down the row. They could even do it on a steady beat; with clips from your music if you want to get elaborate. Then after the song, pass them back. Or pass them on down to the other end while the next set of props is passed out.
You will need to make sure your props are placed and counted beforehand. I pass cups for the cup game out this way using the first part of the rhythm.
