I created an informational bulletin board featuring the National Standards for Music Education. I used a gumball theme complete with machine and giant gumballs for each standard.
Text within each large gumball:
- Understand music as it relates to history
- Improvise melodies, variations and accompaniments
- Play on instruments, alone and with others, many different kinds of songs
- Read and notate music
- Sing alone and with others, many different kinds of songs
- Evaluate music and music performance
- Make connections between music, other arts, and other subjects
- Compose and arrange music in a variety of ways
- Listen, analyze, and describe music
