  1. Form two circles, one inside of the other.
  2. Show students how to make an arch by grabbing hands with their neighbor and putting their hands up. I always practice this, because somehow they don't get it right away.
  3. Put the rubber chicken (I call mine "Captain Cluck" sometimes) in the middle of the inside circle.
  4. Two people are "IT." They turn their back while I pick the windows or arches.
  5. Students stand in their circles holding hands. I touch one set of hands in the outside circle and one on the inside circle.
  6. Instructions: Everyone sings. When we get to the last word, if I touched your hands, you will put them up to create an arch. There will be one on the outside circle and one on the inside circle. The first person who is IT to get the chicken wins.

I let the person who wins pick someone to take their place. Sometimes both people who were IT swap out.
