Here's a different twist. I have a bulletin board that has questions printed on the front of a card which is tacked to the bulletin board. On the inside is the answer with a clip art pic of the instrument.
The cards say such things as:
- Who played saxophone with the Colorado Symphony? (answer inside - Our Vice Principal, Mr. __!)
- Who played trombone in the Army Band? (Our music teacher, Mr. B)
- Who taught music in far off Arabia? (Our music teacher, Mrs. Park)
- Which teacher played the trumpet in elementary school? (Grade 5 teacher...) etc.,
This approach doesn't require pictures and is still fun for kids to guess at.
