I bought kazoos for my 40 choir students to use during the song "Playin' My Kazoo" from Music K-8, Vol. 9, No. 5. I had the kazoos printed with the words "I (heart) music," and I promised the students they could have them once the concert was over. My dilemma was how I was going to store them for the concert AND have them available for rehearsal. I didn't want to write the students' names on the kazoos because I didn't want them all marked up.

I decided to buy Ziploc bags and place one kazoo per bag. I wrote the color of the kazoo body/cap and the student's name on each bag and placed their kazoo in the bag. Now when we want to rehearse, students can easily find their kazoo. After rehearsing, the students put their kazoo back in their own bag, and the bags are collected and stored in a box until the next rehearsal.
