My music room is a long way from the nurse's office and classrooms. This year I found a solution for taking care of my student's loose teeth when they fall out.

I fastened a bunch of plain white envelopes to my white board with a magnetic clip. When a tooth comes out, we seal it in an envelope and write the child's name on the outside. Wrapping the tooth in a tissue will take care of any blood, and I can then send the student down the hall to the rest room to wash their hands.

It gives the students that little bit of attention they need for the occasion and eliminates the fretting over what to do with the tooth to get it home safely.
