Laminator rolls make wonderful lummi sticks for games. Have your wood shop cut them in half, paint them, or decorate them either with tissue paper (glued on with a half glue/half water solution), or use stickers. Then, shellac them or cover them with clear contact paper, and you've got great sounding sticks.

The sticks are also great for making "Magic Music Tubes" to help children learn to find their head voice.

I have our local Office Max people save the tubes for me. (They usually just throw them out.)
