Picture Day

"Comb your hair and scrub your face clean. Wear nice clothes for picture day." This delightful, old-fashioned swing tune reminds young students how much fun it can be to get their pictures taken on picture day at school. All the rules for a positive experience are here in the lyrics, including waiting for one's turn and being patient.
To make it even more fun, there is a mini script in the middle of the song. This script can be found with the lyrics on page 56. We used an adult for our "photographer," but you can assign this part to a student, if you prefer.
The recording is really neat for this one, too. It features acoustic bass, piano, arch top guitar, violin, clarinet, and rhythmic camera shutter effects. Makes you want to tap your toes. Say cheese!
