Fall Is Falling

Fall Is Falling Part warm-up, part tongue-twister, part exercise in part-singing, this short and simple partner song is also a whimsical homage to autumn. There are three parts, all treble, which sing individually at first, then combine the fourth time through. Teaching singers to hold their own while others are also singing is a valuable musical moment in learning. More than that however, we add a bit more challenge by increasing the tempo as it goes from the fourth ending to the fifth repeat at bar 3. Students will have to listen carefully and focus on their own part at the same time. After they take the fifth ending, they go to bar 14 for the ending, which is even faster! Expect a little chaos, especially as they are just getting the hang of it.
