Together Again

by Teresa & Paul Jennings

Pretty much every year since we've been publishing this magazine, we have started the first issue with the opening song of that year's revue. For example, this year, the revue is Forward and the opening song shares its name, "Forward." But more about that in the next section. This year, we're doing something different. We're starting with a song of joy, a song that celebrates no less than being together again. And after last year, like the song says, we're all so "happy, delighted, ecstatic, and jazzed" to be here!

The song, "Together Again" is a happy, uptempo swing tune. The studio players do all the heavy lifting on the Performance/Accompaniment recording (as you can hear), while the vocal part is simple and easy to learn. It's unison and repetitive so that everyone can join in.

You can use this song any way it works for you, of course. But we can easily see it being performed as a welcome back piece for your students, teachers, staff, and community. We have a feeling that the sentiment, if not the song, will bring smiles all around.
