This is an upbeat, happy song designed to whet your students appetite for reading! Reading is a great topic to reiterate, and this song enumerates some of its benefits, as well as a few topics readers can dive into. There are so many possibilities when you read!
Although the entire song is high-energy, the section from 17 to 31 is sung more legato. The divisi in the last six bars is optional, but it does give the tune a big finish if your students can pull it off. If you decide not to attempt it, singing on D and C as before would be fine.
Kudos to drummer Dane Clark who always makes our songs rock a little harder and played some amazing grooves and fills on this tune!
