This activity was inspired by the "Ten In The Bed Boomwhacker® Clean-Up Song" posted in the Idea Bank by Dave in Napa, California. I don't need a song for putting Boomwhackers® away, but I thought he had a cute idea to name them in the song. In Iowa, we still need winter activities long after Christmas, so I thought this might be fun for the students to try.

Materials needed:
- 4 sets of Boomwhackers® (minimum)
- a "sled" created from long rugs or whatever else is available for use and is safe for "falling off"
Give each student one or two F, A, or C' Boomwhackers®, but be sure the last one gets an F and a C'.
Objective: Play steady beat to accompany singing. (Students play a steady-beat F chord to accompany the whole song.)
"Ten on the Sled" (tune: "Ten in the Bed")
There were ten on the sled, and all of them had
Boomwhackers®, Boomwhackers®.
So they played Boomwhackers® 'til one fell off...
There were nine on the sled...etc,...
(last verse)
There was one on the sled, and s/he still had
Boomwhackers®, Boomwhackers®.
So s/he played Boomwhacker® until s/he said "I quit!" (Stop playing on "quit!")
