Au Clair De La Lune

arr. Paul Jennings

Long a favorite of recorder teachers, this old French folk song dates back to at least 1750. Loosely translated as "By The Light Of The Moon," it is simple yet lovely, and presents a great opportunity for expressive playing even though it only requires the player to perform G, A, and B – with mostly step-wise movement.

We are including this special bonus recorder feature to introduce you to our unique, new product, The Recorder Karate Repertoire Book - Volume 1 - White through Purple Belts. It is full of supplemental and sequential new music to use in conjunction with Barb Philipak's highly motivational (and very popular) recorder method, Recorder Karate. There are twelve other tunes in the book, which come with dozens of recorded tracks. For most tunes, there are at least two versions, a longer concert version and a shorter version for belt testing. In addition, there are also slow and faster versions of some tunes as needed, and several special bonuses, including a duet, and other surprises. Visit MusicK8.com for more details on this unique collection and to hear excerpts of all selections.

The condensed score is available as a free download.
