I Am A Poor Wayfaring Stranger

From Plank Road Publishing

arr. Paul Jennings

This Appalachian tune of the mid-South dates back to the early 1800s and was often heard during the Civil War. This arrangement features a duet, with the first part playing the melody using notes low E, G, A, and B, while the second, easier part answers the first using only G, A, B, and C. (from Recorder Classroom, Vol. 1, No. 3)
