Palindrome Warm-Up, A

Since this is the century's year for palindromes (2002), here's a warm-up idea that I have used in my choirs. Using the do re mi fa sol notes in chromatic style up and down, this sentence fits perfectly.

"SIT ON A POTATO PAN OTIS!"

If you want to work on breath control and phrasing, as well as speed and diction, repeat three times in a row. This will change the emPHAsis on each syllAble, as well.

"SIT ON A POTATO PAN OTIS SIT ON A POTATO PAN OTIS SIT ON A POTATO PAN!"

It's a lot of fun!
