In addition to music, I also taught reading and math during summer school. When putting together my music file folder of games, I used to have to take White-Out tape to cover up the reading words or math problems that were already there, color them, and then cut them out. Then I got smart. I now use those fun, pre-cut note pads and put my music symbol answers on them. It is so much easier! The pads come in all kinds of fun shapes (trucks, dinosaurs, flowers, pizza, etc.). I have them for: notes-rests, dynamics, treble clef, families of instruments (Here I use a big note pad with the family name and smaller matching pads for the individual instruments.), tempos, and note value math.
