Question: What activities, resources, et cetera, have you used in a general music class that kids this age were enthusiastic about, especially the boys?
Answer: After showing Stomp Out Loud, I had a Stomp, Jr. contest with my sixth graders. They divided into groups and came up with their own minute-long arrangements, which I videotaped. Then, I started the video around to the teachers with a note for them to write their names by the group they liked the best. I awarded the winning group with sodas and chips!
