I just wanted to share something that is working well for me. My 4th graders are working on their music program and are doing a recorder unit, as well. In the past, I've always run out of whiteboard space for different songs, but I've solved the problem. I bought a laptop last year, got an LCD projector through the Intel Teach to the Future class, and put Sibelius on the laptop. I play my recorder songs (permissible to copy; Denise's Complete Recorder Resource Kit and Music K-8 songs) into Sibelius and project them onto my screen. Now I have unlimited space and easy access from year to year. What a difference technology makes!

(I should note that my kindergartners won $10,000 in the Oscar Mayer Schoolhouse Jam Talent Search last May, and that is the only reason that I now have a laptop and LCD projector. Otherwise I'd never have access to this level of technology.)
