It is hard to pass up the wonderful Music K-8 arrangements. I have a really great digital piano, and still the kids react better with the soundtracks! So, yes, I use them for most of the songs. I like using the piano, though, for the softer, gentler songs, like "A Song Of Peace" (from Music K-8, Vol. 12, No. 2, also available as a Singles Reproducible Kit). I used the digital piano set on New Age Piano, and it was enchanting. I also had more control over dynamics and tempo, obviously!
As to mixing them, I say, the more the merrier. I think the more variety a program has, the better. I mix whenever I can! It is much more interesting to the ear.
