For those of you who are collectors and pack rats like me, and enjoy creative crafts, here is an ongoing bulletin board idea.
I save music and seasonal pictures from newspapers, magazines, flyers, catalogs, anywhere. I organize them by theme or style in folders, and I make thematic collages on 22" x 28" oak tag. Sometimes I'll add text explaining the theme.
I have ready-made bulletin boards for every month, every season, and lots of subjects, such as:
- Musicals
- Dance
- Cartoons
- Children making music
- Music in advertising
- Music past and future
- Music as graphic design
- Conductors at work
- Scores
It's a relaxing, fun project each summer. I have beautiful posters galore.
