Our school is doing a fall concert - all school - we've never done that before. The younger grades are doing the "Allegiance Rap" and "This Land is Your Land," 3-5 are doing "My Country 'Tis Of Thee" and "America The Beautiful," JH choir is doing "A Time For Peace" with the HS choir. HS is doing "We Might Heal" from Music K-8, Vol. 10, No. 4 and "God Bless The USA." The band is also playing several patriotic pieces including "The Star-Spangled Banner."
I plan on decorating with flags and other red, white, and blue things. The older kids are wearing black and white, but I plan on the younger ones wearing red, white, and blue. I think that the whole school doing a concert dedicated in memory of the victims of this terrorist act and in honor of our country will be touching.
