I already had several Kandle Lights™ and needed more. I was trying to figure out how to do this (without knowing at the time if I had a budget), and I hit on an idea.
I made the offer to my school to let people donate a candle in the name of a veteran or someone currently serving. I will list their names in the program, and will list those same names in the future each time the candles are used.
This is an ongoing fundraiser. My principal let me go ahead and order what we needed, figuring on eventually breaking even. I have had 40 folks send in money so far to "light" a candle in someone's honor or memory.
