At my school, we like to make a big deal out of recognizing our parent volunteers. Each year I have to come up with a song for each grade level to sing for a volunteer assembly. For one of my first grade classes I took the song "Happy Grandparents Day!" from Music K-8, Vol. 15, No. 1 and substituted the word "Volunteers" for "Grandparents." At the coda, I substituted "Yeah!" for "Grand." It works well and fits the bill!
