If you have a limited budget but community members who are willing to help their music program, try a MusicK8.com Wish List. Here's the idea:

  • Open a Wish List account. Be sure to fill in your town or school information, so other people can find your Wish List more easily.
  • Add items you need for your music program to your Wish List.
  • Use your music newsletter or, if you don't write one, a flyer to get the word out. Tell parents how to find your wish list. ("Go to MusicK8.com and click on the Wish List star in the upper right-hand corner. Use the search box on the right, and search for [your name here] at [your school or city here]." Ask parents to buy items for your music program. We they receive the item, they can simply send it in to school with their child. (If you want to give them the option of sending it straight to the school, you'll need to provide them with the shipping address.)
