I sat down and made a list of all the songs I use with each grade level. Then, I burned CDs for each grade level with those songs. I made a cover with the song titles and their corresponding page numbers from the books or Music K-8 magazine on the front. Most grade levels have a total of two CDs, but my fourth and fifth grade classes have one each, plus supplemental CDs of patriotic, seasonal, holiday, and jazz music. These CDs are great for those unexpected times when you have to leave or get sick during the day. One of my stellar subs says she likes to pull out those CDs and play "Name That Tune." She says the kids love it.
