A number of years ago I sang in a large, regional church choir in Michigan. Former Michigan Governor George Romney was often a motivational speaker at our programs. He had a great line, "Crying babies are like good intentions. They ought to be carried out!" It was humorous and effective.
Maybe we should all try something like that before our performances!
